Biography

Dr. Shamim Ahmad is Specialist Paediatric Anesthesiologist at Al Jalila Children’s. After graduating in the year 2000 from the University of Kashmir, India, he completed his specialisation in anaesthesia and critical care from SKIMS Srinagar, India in 2006. Prior to joining Al Jalila Children’s, Dr. Shamim was a Senior Specialist in the department of paediatric and neonatal anaesthesia in Ibn Sina Hospital, Kuwait, for eight years. Specialising in USG Guided regional anaesthesia techniques and skilled in handling difficult airways, Dr. Shamim has been involved in teaching undergraduates, postgraduate residents, nursing staff, and paramedical staff. He is also associated with various professional societies in anaesthesia.
