Biography

Dr. Mohamed is Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Al Jalila Children’s. He graduated from Gezira University in Sudan in 1998. He completed a clinical MD in Paediatrics and Child Health from Khartoum University in 2005 after which he moved to the United Kingdom where he further augmented his paediatric training experience and chose paediatric neurology as a subspecialty. He completed his higher paediatric neurology training in Scotland and England and then worked as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children from 2015.

Dr. Mohamed is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK. He has real passion for teaching and medical education and was an honorary senior lecturer at Sheffield and Bristol Universities in addition to being an educational supervisor and an academic mentor for junior doctors and medical students. He has also regularly taught in high-calibre courses such as the International Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) course. Dr. Mohamed has widely published in medical journals and has written numerous editorials and reviews in addition to his contribution to many international conferences. He is also the associate editor of the European Journal of Medical Case Reports. He is a member of the British Paediatric Neurology Association, International Child Neurology Association, and the Movement Disorders Society (USA).
