Dr. Jasna has around twenty-four years of vast experience as a Paediatric Hospitalist. Prior to joining AJCH, Dr. Jasna worked in several reputable hospitals in the US such as Cook County Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, as well as Tucson Medical Center, Northwest Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Jasna worked as an educator of residents and medical students, as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rush University Medical Center, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and as an Associate Professor at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine.
In her career, Dr. Jasna has been part of various committee such as Pediatric Resident Inpatient Rotation Task Force, Pediatric Clinical Competency Committee, Child Abuse Review and Education Committee, Continuous Process Improvement Committee, Medication Safety Review Committee, Diamond Children’s Safety Event Review Committee, Medical Information Technology Committee.
She has led research on various clinical topics such as Pediatric Residents Leadership, Pediatric Residents Clinical Competency Assessments, Pediatric Diagnostic Errors, Safety and Improvement. She spent many years leading Pediatric Morbidity and Mortality Conferences and developed a Clinical Pathological Conference Curriculum in an effort to educate residents about Clinical decision making process and prevention of Diagnostic Errors.
Dr. Jasna is a member of American Academy of Pediatrics, Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (COQIPS) and Section of Hospital Medicine. She is a member of the Editorial Board of AAP PREP Hospital Medicine Publication used as a main study guide for Pediatric Hospital Medicine Board preparation. She has been certified by ABP, as a member of inaugural class, in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She enjoys reading, gardening, and taking care of pets.
