Pediatric Heart Surgeon
CLINICAL: Dr. El Rassi is a Pediatric Heart Surgeon with 9 years of training, and then more than 20 years of work experience in this specialty. He trained in the best center in France (Necker Children's) and the best center in Australia (Royal Children's Hospital). Dr. El Rassi is specialized in the surgical management of all cardiac anomalies in neonates and children, including Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Transposition of the great arteries, Truncus arteriosus, Total anomalous veins, Ebstein anomaly, Tricuspid/Pulmonary Atresia, Tetralogy, AV canal, Double Outlet right ventricle, Ventricular septal defect and others. He is a Member of the United States Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and the European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS).
TEACHING: Associate Professor of surgery with a Diploma in Medical Education for Medical Students, and more than 15 years of Teaching and Mentoring.
RESEARCH: 80 papers published in international journal.
HUMANITARIAN: Dr El Rassi has organized several surgical missions to underserved areas to operate children with cardiac anomalies. He is an active member of Several Humanitarian Associations helping children and adults with congenital heart disease: The United Arab Emirates Congenital Heart Association (UAECHA); BRAVEHEART Association; HEARTBEAT Association.
