Paediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine
Dr. Hamdan is a Consultant in Paediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine at Al Jalila Children’s. He began his medical education at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan. He completed his paediatrics residency at The State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center – New York, USA. Following that, he worked for several years as a consultant paediatrician in Jordan, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia before returning to the United States to pursue paediatric subspecialty training. Dr. Hamdan did both his paediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine fellowships at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, USA. Dr. Hamdan is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in the fields of general pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and in sleep medicine.
After completing fellowship training, Dr. Hamdan worked at Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, as an attending physician in paediatric sleep medicine and also at the University of Illinois College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. Dr. Hamdan aims to provide child friendly, gold-standard and up to date care for his patients with respiratory and/or sleep conditions including sleep apnea. Dr. Hamdan is fluent in Arabic and English.
