Inpatient Paediatrician
Dr. Fatima Ali Mazahir is an Arab-board certified inpatient pediatrician at Al Jalila Children’s hospital. After obtaining her undergraduate medical degree from the prestigious Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan, she moved to Dubai to pursue her Pediatric Residency training under the Dubai Residency Training Program. Additionally, she is also an International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a Member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), UK, and a candidate of Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London, UK. Dr. Fatima aspires to provide highest level of holistic and evidence-based clinical care to her pediatric patients while harboring a keen interest in training post-graduate resident physicians. She is also an avid advocate of promoting environmental sustainability and mitigating climate change impacts via incorporating greener practices in healthcare and within this context, is a member of the UAE’s Climate Change Research Network and a peer reviewer for Journal of Climate Change and Health. As a lactation management enthusiast, Dr. Fatima undertakes various activities for supporting, promoting, and protecting breastfeeding practices including conducting educational webinars, clinical audits and training of IBCLE candidates. Dr. Fatima has various publications in peer-reviewed journals and have presented at multiple regional and international conferences. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, baking and creating fuse-bead art projects.
