Paediatrician
Dr. Deena is a consultant pediatrician at Al Jalila Children’s. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University, and completed her Pediatrics Residency at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
Following residency training in USA, Dr. Deena returned home to Dubai and is committed to providing the highest quality of healthcare to the children of the United Arab Emirates. She believes in the personalized healthcare delivery model which serves the healthcare needs of individual patients and their families. Her goal is to create a positive experience towards promoting a healthy lifestyle and preventing disease. She believes that the life-long relationships she builds with the families are the most rewarding part of her career.
Dr. Deena’s professional interests include medical education and research. She is the Deputy Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Al Jalila Children’s. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at multiple conferences. Apart from her clinical work, she has a passion for community service and believes that every individual has a unique role in building the community and contributing to its advancement. Since high school, she has been actively involved in working towards empowering children and junior youth across different countries.
