Biography

Dr. Christoph is Consultant Paediatric Intensivist at Al Jalila Children’s. Born and raised in Austria, he obtained his Doctorate in General Medicine from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, Medical School between 1977 to 1984. He went on to get his Board Certification in 1988 as a General Practitioner State Hospital, Feldkirch, Austria. In 1994, he decided that treating children is a cause that he would like to pursue, so he continued his studies at the University Children’s Hospital, Innsbruck, Austria to get his second Board Certification as a General Paediatrician and Paediatric Cardiology and followed it with a fellowship at Berlin Heart Center and Berlin Charite, Paediatric Cardiac Critical Care.

Dr. Christoph’s work experience is quite unique and of international standards. He worked in some of the best hospitals in Germany. His last position was as Director and Consultant Paediatric Critical Care at the University Children’s Hospital Tuebingen, Germany. Then in 2014, he made a significant step in his career by working as the Director and Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Critical Care in Changchun, Jilin, China.

He joined Al Jalila Children’s in 2015 with more than 22 years of international experience as a Consultant for General Paediatric or Paediatric Cardiology or Paediatric and Cardiac Critical Care under his cap.
