Biography

After gaining enough clinical and leadership skills in Aga Khan university hospital from 1988 to 1995as instructor in General Surgery, I came to UK in 1996 and retrained my self as Neurosurgeon. My higher surgical training in Neurosurgery was undertaken at Kings College Hospital London, Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford and in Birmingham Children Hospital where I completed my fellowship in Paediatric and Spinal Neurosurgery in university hospital of North Staffordshire,Stoke on Trent. Acquired extensive experience in treating patients with Paediatric Neurosurgery and spine diseases and has successfully managed patients in NHS setup and performed simple and complex general Neurosurgery, spinal and paediatric neurosurgical procedures. Since January 2008, Working as a Consultant Neurosurgeon with a special interest in Paediatric Neurosurgery. After working for last 8 years as consultant Neurosurgeon.I came as Consultant Neurosurgeon and Paediatric Neurosurgeon in SKMC Abu Dhabi UAE, since March 2014 till july 2022, in SKMC,now presently working as Senior consultant Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Al Jalila Children speciality Hospital is 400 beds hospital with all modern Facilities with beds Paediatric ICU and 10 beds High dependant Unit, My primary responsibility is as Paediatric Neurosurgeon. Manage patients with brain tumours, complex hydrocephalus, craniofacial, Epilepsy surgery congenital skull and spine diseases. In previous responsibility was managing serious head Injury in our PICU according to Trauma foundation guideline and saved many paediatric patients and prevent serious morbidity and poor outcome. we are also supporting a very busy Neonatal ICU with a capacity of 80 cots, especially premature babies with IVH and complex hydrocephalus and myelomeningocele. I have a excellent academic and teaching background and has presented papers at National and International meetings, taught under graduate medical and nursing students and post graduate doctors in Neurosurgery and Spinal surgery. I was faculty for FRCS Neurosurgery Exams course in Aberdeen and participated in the European Spine Diploma Course and MENA region VNS workshop as instructor has gained extensive knowledge in minimally invasive and image guided surgery.
