Biography

Dr. Abdalqader is a specialist paediatrician who joined Al-Jalila Children's Hospital in 2021. Prior to that, she has been working in Latifa Women & Children Hospital since 2013 and gained a considerable experience in paediatric inpatient and emergency care with special interest in all aspects of Hospital Medicine. After earning her MD Degree from Al-Quds University Medical School in Jerusalem, Dr. Amal joined the faculty as a teaching assistant in basic sciences along with her work as a paediatric resident in Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem. She then moved back to Dubai to be enrolled in the paediatric residency program in Dubai Health Authority and pursue a career as a dedicated paediatrician holding two postgraduate degrees, the Arab Board of Pediatrics & Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (UK) in addition to the the European Board of Paediatrics Certfificate. Dr. Amal has also been involved and interested in research work, quality improvement projects, in addition to developing clinical guidelines of the department. Medical education and clinical teaching is an another area of interest at which Dr. Amal aims to promote excellence.
