OBJECTIVE

Field experience is increasingly valued as a cornerstone of secondary student education. Our Career Shadowing Programmes provide an opportunity for students aged 16-18 to follow a medical professional through his/her day in order to learn about the realities of working in the field. This program will position serious, high achieving, and motivated students to explore medical specialties and the role of a doctor.

Student Learning Objectives:

• Improve students’ understanding of whether a medical career is right for them
• Develop in-depth awareness of skill set required to be a successful physician
• Understand the role of multidisciplinary teams in medicine

The programme will run one cohort in January and the second cohort in April. The programme runs for one academic week, from 9am-3pm, during which the students must be excused from classes.

If you are interested in applying for our Career Shadowing Programme, please have your Career Counselor email schoolprogrammes@ajch.ae. Deadline for Applications is October 15, 2019. We will only be accepting applications directly from schools. Decisions will be announced late November.
