Craig Halpin is a Nurse Manager (Mental Health) at Al Jalila Children's. Craig qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in the United Kingdom in 2006. Since qualifying, he has worked in inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services within the National Health Service in various clinical and leadership positions. Before moving to Dubai, he established and led a specialist eating disorder service for children and young people, which was accredited as a Centre of Excellence. Craig has a specialist interest in eating disorder treatment, Child Protection and Staff Development. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of York, along with a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Birmingham. He also has certification in Teaching and Mentoring, Quality Improvement and Coaching. Craig has played an integral role in developing national clinical guidance for eating disorders, establishing clinical services and undertaking peer reviews for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services across the United Kingdom. He brings an abundance of skill and experience from the UK to assist in developing the Mental Health Centre of Excellence at Al Jalila Children’s.    

Dr. Ibrar Majid is a Fellowship trained Consultant Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Al Jalila Children’s whose entire practice is completely dedicated to treating bone and joint problems in children. He was born and schooled in the United Kingdom, and read medicine at the University of London. After graduating as a doctor he undertook surgical training in London, Leicester, Manchester and Liverpool (UK) and Baltimore (USA) before receiving his certification of training (CCT). During this time he also completed an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering. He is currently a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, as well as a member of the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery and the British Orthopaedic Association.

Dr. Jason Gray is Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Al Jalila Children's and has gained extensive experience in both mental health and general nursing prior to specialising in Children’s Nursing in 1996 at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London. His ongoing passion for emergency nursing and advanced practice encouraged him to complete an MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice at the Imperial College of Medicine (London) whilst gaining experience as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and subsequently a Consultant Nurse. During this time, he was instrumental in setting up the first dedicated Children’s Emergency Department in the South East of England for which he was awarded the Pioneers of Care Award in 2014 for his contribution to children’s emergency nursing. His Doctoral studies at Kings’ College London investigated the nursing activities and interventions important when caring for children in A&E Departments. Jason also has extensive experience teaching in several renowned Higher Educational Institutes in the UK and currently holds an honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Brighton (UK). He has also travelled internationally teaching advanced resuscitation, in addition to representing children’s emergency nursing at the RCPCH Intercollegiate Committee and Royal College of Nursing. He has also been privileged to have worked as a specialised advisor for the Care Quality Commission that regulates health and social care in England. 

Dr. Majid Qureshi is specialised in paediatric emergency and is a fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. He has extensive clinical and administrative experience and helped develop the paediatric emergency department in Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In his capacity as clinical director, he led a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, paediatric advanced clinical practitioners, and nurses. He also worked as a Royal College tutor. Under this role, he was responsible for the development of curriculum-based teaching for residents, advanced clinical practitioners and medical students. Dr. Majid is also fellowship examiner for Royal College of Emergency Medicine and regularly organises mock courses for fellowship candidates.    

Dr. Muhammad Ba’ath is Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Al Jalila Children’s and trained and practised in Syria, UK and the US. He has extensive experience across a wide area of paediatric surgery including minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery and urology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons for paediatric surgery and holds the European Board of Paediatric Surgery and the European Board of Paediatric Urology. Dr. Ba’ath also has a Master’s Degree in Child Health from the University of Liverpool and has published and presented in recognised medical journals and international conferences.

Dr. Nazeema has been involved in education of residents, medical students and paramedics for most of her career. She helped to develop the Paediatric Emergency Department at Nemours Children’s Hospital and led the team as Medical Director. She was involved in development of Resuscitation guidelines for the institution. She also helped to champion the Electronic Medical Record at Nemours to facilitate efficient documentation and workflow for all physicians and nursing staff.
