Al Jalila Children’s launches ‘PaedsX’ Programme to Encourage Thought Leadership and Innovation in Paediatric Medicine

Al Jalila Children’s, the only children’s hospital in the UAE, has launched its very own thought-leadership platform with the aim of providing education and training to encourage and promote knowledge sharing, innovation and excellence in paediatric healthcare.

As a Continuing Medical Education (CME) platform, PaedsX comprises of three main educational pillars; Symposium Series, Grand Rounds, and Nursing Education. Each of these sessions is run by teams of world-class doctors and healthcare professionals in Al Jalila Children’s with years of experience in their respective fields and have trained in some of the leading hospitals around the world, in addition to featuring world renowned paediatric doctors and specialists from around the globe.

“The main aim of PaedsX is to encourage knowledge-sharing and create a conducive environment for continued education on evidence-based medicine and practices, which is key to the improvement of healthcare practices, ultimately translating into better care for children and their families,” said Dr. Mohamed Al Awadhi, COO at Al Jalila Children’s.

The sessions of the three pillars under PaedsX will mostly take place at the fully equipped Al Jalila Children’s auditorium with a capacity of around 100. To facilitate attendance and participation of physicians in UAE and the region in PaedsX Symposiums Series, Al Jalila Children’s created an innovative web page that allows interested parties to register and book their seat immediately at the relevant event to their speciality.

CME Accredited Live Streaming Sessions

In addition, Grand Rounds and Nursing Education sessions will be available for PaedsX registered physicians through live streaming and archived videos. Grand Rounds is a methodology of medical education and inpatient care where case studies and diagnoses are presented to an audience consisting of doctors, Residents, and medical students.
