Paediatric Neurodevelopment and Behavioural

The Neurodevelopment and Behavioural Clinic is part of the Neurosciences Centre of Excellence which is one among the most advanced facilities in the region that specifically caters to disorders of the nervous system in children. As the only dedicated hospital for children in the UAE, the Centre at Al Jalila Children’s features state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and consultants with years of paediatric experience from some of the renowned hospitals around the world.

Neurodevelopmental disorders are disabilities associated primarily with the functioning of the neurological system and brain. Examples of neurodevelopmental disorders in children include attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, and impairments in vision and hearing. Children with neurodevelopmental disorders can experience difficulties with language and speech, motor skills, behaviour, memory, learning, and/or other neurological functions. The Neurodevelopment and Behavioural Clinic at Al Jalila Children’s works closely with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre to provide extensive support to children and their families.
