Hydrotherapy is the use of water as a medium for facilitation of movement, improving muscle strength and coordination as well as managing pain. Specialised techniques allows us to be able to engage the child on the level of functioning that he is at and improve movement patterns in the water. Hydrotherapy differs from swimming because it involves special exercises that are done in a warm-water pool with a temperature of usually between 33 and 36ºC.
