Dr. Mahmoud is Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at Al Jalila Children’s. Graduating from Damascus University in 1997, he went on to receive the Arab Board Certificate in Paediatrics/Paediatric Cardiology. He followed that with a fellowship programme in paediatric cardiology at King Khaled University Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and later another fellowship programme at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar.
He enjoys a unique knowledge and understanding of common cardiac diseases in children across the Middle East and Arab countries with 14 years of experience in invasive and non-invasive diseases at different centres in Syria and the UAE. Dr. Mahmoud is also an adjunct professor at Sharjah University since 2014.
Dr. Nermeen Mahmoud El-Kholy is a Specialist in Paediatric Cardiology at Al Jalila Children’s and specialises in paediatric cardiac diseases (congenital and acquired). Dr. Nermeen graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain-Shams University, Egypt, followed by residency and a Master’s in Paediatrics from Ain-Shams University. Starting out as a General Paediatrician, Dr. Nermeen trained in Paediatric Cardiology at Ain- Shams University for two years. She then began practising as Paediatric Cardiologist from 2010 in specialised paediatric cardiac centres in Ain-Shams University Hospital.
