A CT scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images of the bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues inside the body. Al Jalila Children’s uses a 128 Slice Helical CT with paediatric specific radiation dose reduction software and paediatric specific protocols. We optimise the scan parameters to every child, thereby meeting the standard of low dose high-quality imaging.
